Your Hallway Days...

You may be tired. Drained. Stressed. Feeling like giving up or how about this one...forgotten.

I know that feeling personally more than I should. I feel you and my heart hurts for you. You feel like you’ve been banging on a door to open now for so long. Too long. So long your hands hurt and your arms feel like a million pounds as you try to lift them just one more time. As you wait for that door to open.

Girl I know that pain. You feel stuck in the hallway. You are just ready to burst through a door. Any door. I get it but girl I’m also here now sitting on the other side of the door telling you these moments in the hallway are precious moments.

If i could put my hand up to yours on the door just to give you any sense of comfort I would. But I can’t. It’s not because I don’t want to. It’s because it’s not what you’re meant to be in the hallway for. Girl you’re there for a reason. Those doors haven’t opened yet for a reason.

You’re there because of what you’re carrying inside. What your struggling with is meant to stay in the hallway. It’s not meant for you to bring beyond the door. So lift those hands up in surrender to your Maker. Ask Him to strip you of every thing that’s meant to leave you. Cling to Him as you break away from those things. Doors will open and you need to be ready.

Your story may not be the way you want. It may not be the one you thought you’d live and the doors that open may not be the ones you thought would open but please baby girl rejoice in the hallways. You’ll look back at that hallway someday and instead of being reminded of the pain and sorrows of that place you’ll be reminded of His faithfulness. His faithful PROMISE to restore all that was ever lost or broken in your life.
